Popular Post bkdash Posted December 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2020 Going with the BBF tonight. Got a little reprieve from the winter weather here in New England, 55F 65RH. Pairing the BBF with a Bourbon, High West Whiskey's American Prairie Bourbon. Album choice is Red City Radio's Paradise. Went with a straight cut and the draw is perfect. Prelight I'm getting hay and barnyard. This is the example that was sent in our Christmas Sampler and for reference I've had this in my humidor for roughly 50 days now (LTO JUN 20). 1/3: Starting off with big hits of leather, earth and spice through the nose. This is where I can already tell the infamous mongrel that prez always talks about is with this example. As I continue through the first third I pickup a burnt fruit flavor but not in a bad way. Leather, earth, bold coffee and a touch of sweetness round out the first third. The bourbon pairing is bringing out what little sweetness this cigar has for me. 2/3: Ash falls off in 3rds. Leather and strong coffee to kick this 3rd off. I can't pickup anymore sweetness for the rest of the cigar. The burn became an issue from here on out requiring 4-5 touchups. Strong coffee and leather round out the 2/3rd. 3/3: More strong coffee, earth and leather. FULL body on this BBF for me. Flavors strengthen as it gets hotter but flavors remain the same. This certainly shows it's youth and strength but I don't hate it at all. 89/90pt 11

I'm surprised the flavors didn't change much when the stick got hotter throughout. High West is some good shtuff.. ? 1
