Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted October 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2020 H. Upmann Sir Winston RUM MAY 19 1/3: Construction is excellent leading to a firm draw. The initial light is real nice. Almond paste, toasted tobacco, and some leather notes. A mild-medium body with ample smoke production. There is a creamy sweetness and woody note on the finish as well but no flavors are over powering and I find it difficult to pick out all the nuances here. 2/3: The burn remains excellent into this third. Add some cocoa dusting and herbal notes on the edges. The mild woody flavor bumps up a bit and the body is under medium at the half pole. 3/3: The smoking conditions have improved here as humidity is starting to rise at 29% RH and temps at 75F / 24C. If anything the wood and toasted tobacco is coming more to the front towards the finish but the other elements remain. It's a hell of a blend and definitely in Sméagol's precious rotation. A solid 95 today at only 17 months old. A 95 minute meditation 14
KavalanWhisky Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Nice review! I'm saving a Sir Winnie '09 gifted from a friend as it's my only one, really tempted to smoke it now though! 2
