Popular Post Shatner's Bassoon Posted September 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2020 A short review for a short cigar. Construction is fine; good draw, although the cap unravels slightly when cut. I’ve not really experienced the Partagas sourdough so far, but this has it in spades. Right from the off it beats me about the head, but in a good way. There is a touch of bell pepper that comes in and out, and a slight touch of sweetness on the finish, but otherwise it’s medium-full sourdough all the way. There’s no transition, no real complexity, and apart from a slight nuttiness in the final inch, no change in flavour. But that’s fine: the sourdough core is very satisfying for a 40 minute smoke. Body is at the upper end of medium-full. I rate this at 89. 9
