ESCAPE BOOT LACES  /  $20

Incredibly tough and equally useful, these boot laces are good for more than just survival situations. In a worst-case scenario, they have a patented, integral handcuff key that secures over an aglet yet can be easily removed when needed, even if handcuffed behind your back. The laces themselves are woven Technora and can be used to cut through zip ties, duct tape, or even paracord, hold up to 950 pounds, and are very rugged, meaning even if you never need them, they'll likely outlast whatever boot you use them with.

Considering that a good pair of boot laces cost about $10, this is not that great a price jump, if they can last more than a pair of boots. One of my old pair of hiking boots had speed hooks as the lacing system, and while great when tying your boot, they shredded laces fairly quickly. So these would be pretty good, but I don't think I'd need the handcuff key... often. :lookaround:
