Incredibly tough and equally useful, these boot laces are good for more than just survival situations. Considering that a good pair of boot laces cost about $10, this is not that great a price jump, if they can last more than a pair of boots. One of my old pair of hiking boots had speed hooks as the lacing system, and while great when tying your boot, they shredded laces fairly quickly. So these would be pretty good, but I don't think I'd need the handcuff key... often.
