Popular Post djrey Posted August 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 4, 2020 Found this on CA and thought it was pretty neat. The fact that they capture the sawdust and compress it into bricks for use of heating tobacco barns is really cool! Enjoy. https://www.cigaraficionado.com/article/inside-cuba-s-new-cigar-box-factory 2 6
CaptainQuintero Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Some really great info, thanks for posting ? "The cylindrical, steel tower is huge, and attached to the side of the building by a round, steel duct. Here, the excess sawdust gets compressed into round bricks that are used for the Montecristo Open Series. The compressed sawdust comes out nearly as hard as rock, chopped into foot-long pieces and then bagged for shipment to the curing barns." 2
