Popular Post maverickdrinker Posted July 25, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 25, 2020 The wrapper is a deep hazelnut hue. Smooth to the touch. The construction is excellent. Firm throughout the cigar with no soft spots and a slight give when squeezed. The triple cap looks great and the foot is packed. Aromas of mocha, honeysuckle and touches of leather emanate from the wrapper. The draw is firm. Decent air flow with a touch too much resistance. Chocolate cookies, honey, ginger snaps, leather and earth come from the cold draw. First ThirdLight cinnamon, ginger snaps, leather, earth and touches of citrus to start. Strength is at a medium bodied level. Beautiful combination with the right strength level. Divine start. The retrohale is lush and vibrant. Delicate layers of cinnamon, light oak, ginger snaps and citrus move easily through the nasal passages. The after finish is gorgeous. Cinnamon, light oak, ginger snaps and citrus make an immediate impact, followed by cocoa, earth and leather. Very complex and nuanced. The medium bodied strength level allows the flavours to gently envelop the palate and slowly ebb away. Good start so far. Second ThirdCinnamon and citrus start to move to the front of the line with ginger snaps following suit as it moves through the nasal passages. Strength continues to be at a medium bodied level. The after finish favours the cinnamon, citrus and ginger snaps flavours and then ebbs into leather, earth, light oak and cocoa. Very lush and vibrant on the palate and the staying power is impressive. No harshness at all. Just pure flavour. Magic. Final ThirdCocoa and ginger snaps intersect and deepen the flavour profile. Combines with cinnamon and leather as they move through the nasal passages. The after finish brings a myriad of flavours, combining into one beautiful symphony. Cocoa, ginger snaps, leather, earth, citrus and cinnamon combine to deliver a wonderful finale. This was crazy good. Final ImpressionsThis is smoking beautifully right now. Time in slumber has really brought this together. Pure flavour with no harshness. Wonderful depth and complexity. One of my worries was ‘would a larger ring gauge be able to capture the essence of EDRM?’ This proves it does in spades. Smoke one now if you have them. Delicious. The Mac 12 sherry was an excellent compliment to this cigar. Smooth, silky and elegant. The sherry sweetness adds another dimension to the cigar’s flavour profile. Highly recommend trying this together if you have a chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7 1
