RDB Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 From a 50 cab. Looks good, but there is something funny about the draw. It’s not too tight, but somehow ‘mushy’. Sure enough, it doesn’t want to stay lit. Wrapper seems thin enough, but I’m constantly relighting it to avoid tunnelling. Flavours are muddled too. A good Short is one of those ‘how is this possible from an inexpensive little thing’ cigars. They can be rich, full, malty and toasted all at the same time yet distinctly, and right from the word go. This one has some of the vegetal richness but it doesn’t have the clarity: keeps muting down, possibly because I’m not actually smoking much of the wrapper (I’m just repeatedly burning it up with my lighter). Score 0 on the binary scale. First one like it from this otherwise good cab. 1
