PLPC - 2017 (TGCRW)

These have quickly become my favorite CC. I've had about 20 from 4 boxes over the past 6 months, all well rested after shipment, ranging 18 months to about 3 years.

This is easily the ugliest I've had so far; I picked the worst looking available for this review. Nearly two-tone wrapper and noticeably loose gapped wrapper near the foot.  This causes a minor burn issue for an inch or so which is quickly corrected with a one flick touch up and a short rest, ie great internal construction, as I'm pretty sure any wrapper damage was caused by shipping single and migration in the humidor.

Starts strong with toasted marshmallow and caramel creme, continues for 4 inches of twix bar rolling through phases of honey, orange zest, chai, tres leches, ginger syrup. It's just incredible. The last 1/2 inch or so turned into thick spice before unfortunately going out on it's own and resisted all attempts to relight, alas. I'll give this example an 89 and hope that the 2014 I'm resting for next month's PLPC treat are as described by others.

Awesome. They’re fantastic with more age. Don’t know how it happened, but I burned thru a cab of 11s, cab of 12s, and a cab of 09 or 10s during the past few years. I made a huge mistake not getting more of them back in the day. Now i’m sitting on 2017 cabs and the waiting is killing me. I won’t be touching those until 2025.
