Popular Post Habana Mike Posted April 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2020 This little beauty was picked up from a renowned roller in Havana during my 2014 trip. Figure why not smoke a big dog for the big dog review! Rough-hewn Colorado wrapper. Massive in size. Had to use the largest punch cutter from my 3-way Colibri I think it's at least a 68 ring gauge, possibly larger. Cold draw is dank earth, leather, Brazil nut. Lights easily with the covered foot flaming up, producing a huge volume of smoke through the slightly resistant draw. Earth and black pepper are the predominate notes in the first inch. Poured a bit of 13yo Dickel BiB, whisky of the year 2019 per the Whisky Advocate.13 years introduced a lot of oak into the dram. Stands up well to the strength of the cigar. Now who rolls a cigar this big and strong? Still earthy and peppery with woody notes coming through. Very full bodied with plenty of Ligero! Lasted through the movie. Interesting smoke, glad I let it rest a few years. Would have knocked me on my ass if I smoked it fresh I believe. 4/5 stars 17 1
