Popular Post TheFullMontecristo Posted April 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2020 Firstly, Happy Easter to all for `He is Risen`` Purchased this 10 count box from FOH and have the round black sticker on the box which at the time was HQ if I`m not mistaken. This is an annual cigar for me and was hoping to smoke one in Havana this past month but Pandemic changed that plan so here we are. Dry boxed this stick for 36 hours in a desk top humidor. Did not have to worry about this cigar rolling off the table due to the box press, The wrapper is colorado in color and is slightly rough in texture. Aroma is cedar, dry grass with hints leather. I decided to pair it with some Johnny Walker Green 15 yr old. I like to add a teaspoon of water to the Green which seems to release more of its smoke, wood and slight vanilla and honey flavors. First third flavors is silky smooth cream with a cedar and slightly honey sweet flavor. Definitely just under medium in terms of strength. Second third is more of the same and both flavor and strength of body is consistent. Burn slightly inconsistent and a couple minor touch ups are required. Last third journey continues with some deeper cream and some honey sweet flavors still appearing but still medium strength. I really take my time with this classic cigar and lay it to rest after 2 hours 20 minutes of pure smoking pleasure. For what the price point of this cigar is and the smoking experience it delivers overall, i would rate this cigar at 93. 12
