Popular Post teamrandr Posted April 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2020 A gorgeous stick. The construction is spot on. Draped in the classic Colorado wrapper that has a nice cocoa aroma at cold. Initial draws are lackluster. Plain tobacco. It is okay I won't panic yet. Pyramids are my favorite modern vitola. We are getting progression thankfully. The flavors have picked up. Cocoa is taking the early lead. It is almost like cocoa is the Bernie Sanders of this cigar right now. We are into the 2/3. Fortunately the cigar has progressed. Cream has entered the building. It is blending well.with the chocolate aspect. I am having trouble focusing as my golden retriever Rye is distracting me by constantly want me to play with her toys. Half way and I am pleased. The creaminess is subtle. Chocolate is the main player here. Very little edges the retrohale is damn near smooth. This cigar gets an A+ for progression. Pure class. The smoke is very pleasant. I almost don't even care to discern flavors right now. Each draw brings the creamy chocolate. This cigar is remarkable. The draws are perfect. One of my favorites for the last year. The flavors are straight forward. I would not describe the flavors as intricate. They are to the point and that is welcomed. The cigar just keeps getting better. I slow down the draws as I near the final 3rd. Maybe it is just me but I get a bit sad when a cigar rolls into the finale. In many situations this is the best part. Especially with super aged sticks. As it enters the final stage the flavors have taken a dip. The tobacco is getting hot. The head was on the soft side. I think this is causing the problem. I lay it down before the nub. Score 90 Was solid but ended poorly. Definitely a stick worth revisiting. 6
