Popular Post Maskas Posted April 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2020 I usually start my weekend work days with a nice short smoke Decided to go with a short this morning with my coffee. Clipped the cap and it’s got a perfect draw, nice. Little bit of sourdough and spice on the cold draw. Very defined box press on this stick. First light, blast of spice and bread notes. Take a couple puffs then let it settle before digging in. First third, bread and spice with a light chocolate note and maybe a touch of coffee coming through on the finish. Second, some sweetness coming through with a bread or cereal note. Like honey nut Cheerios. Still spice on the finish. Last third, more bread notes but a little less sweetness, a little chocolate now and spice is now increasing. At the nub, more spice and now a wood flavor. Intensity building still. Burn and draw have been absolutely perfect throughout, cannot ask for better performance from a short smoke like this. 8.5/10 for what it is and with construction and a burn like this you can’t go wrong. This box has had its rest now and it shows. First two from the box were good but this one was great. Time to dig in. 12

Yup, ligne 2. I’ve got the bad habit of collecting Duponts and I basically stole this one the price was so low. Bought it leaking so I just rebuilt it, a little clean up and polish is next. She’s got some rough spots from being dropped on what I assume was concrete before so it will make a nice one to daily or use in the shop. 2 hours ago, Psiman said: Love Shorts !!! that Dupont could use some polish. In a few minutes it could be shiny. What is that brand of knife? It looks like a custom I’ll give it a good buff here soon but it’s not as bad as the terrible shop pictures make it look. The knives are custom...by me. I’m a part time maker, happy to share a link to my Instagram if that doesn’t violate any rules.
UnoMas Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Smoking a cuban cigar while you make your own knives. That’s badass. Appreciate the review 1

I have an Olamic Busker that was made for me on my birthday that is M390. I’m a small knife guy. I want a Gareth Bull Mini Shamwari with the 2.75 inch blade but I don’t think he makes any under 3 now. I love front flippers. My Busker is the ultimate fidget knife. I bought it for fidgety play and not because it gets much knife use. I love the size of the Busker. I did have a Spyderco about the same size and I sold it when I got my Busker over a year ago. I will never buy Spyderco again. Owners are rude and don’t care about customer service. Mediocre products anyway. My go to steel is AEB-L. I’ve used S35VN, CPM154, RWL34 etc but I keep coming back to AEB-L. Great steel. It’s funny you mention spyderco, those were my first “expensive” knives and I thought they were really something. Got introduced to the world of custom knives and it was definitely an eye opening experience. Spyderco has never been the same since lol.
