Just happened to be thumbing through FoH, cigar in hand as ever and came across the RW announcement. Lo and behold, I'm smoking a Monte so I'll wing it...

PSP box with 3 years in it purchased last month, no brainer for the price, age and grade. I got a box of HUHCs last year that take a good 45 mins to get through, densely packed but well rolled. These are looser and quicker but they're tasty little buggers and this is perfect for a second cigar of the night before an early night.

Shiny and smooth to look at, lovely oaty chocolate smell on the foot.

Quite light in flavour to start but definitely Montecristo, chocolate and toast with a hint of vanilla. Builds as it hits the (seriously quick) second half into a medium bodied tasty morsal. I used to get through vast amounts of the Monte 5 and haven't had one for a couple of years, I played fast and loose with the RG Perlas, but this is a fine replacement. The thicker guage feels good in the fingers. Smooth milk chocolate, a little pepper, more vanilla. Burn is perfect throughout.

A very pleasant half hour under a clear, still night. The moon and stars in West London are benefiting from the drop in air pollution I think.
