Raphael Gonzales Perlas/TOS ABR 16/QRRW

Had a little time today and feeling much better after a seasonal creeping crud has subsided. 
Found this box of 2016 Perlas in the Icebox and decided to fire one up. 
 

Roll feels perfect.  Almost no aroma at cold save a slight sweet tobacco flavor.   Lighting delivers an immediate hit of vanilla and espresso.  Draw is perfection.  Smoke production is...perfection.  See where I’m going with this...? 
 

Smooth vanilla, coffee and roasted nuts persist through the first half.   Burn is (you guessed it...) perfection.  
 

 

Second half is an amped up version of the first half.  For such a small smoke I manage to nurse this one along for almost 90 minutes.  I’d rate it a 92/100, this from a box that has Already delivered 8 stellar smokes.  I’m usually very happy with 8-10 in a box and pleased with the rest.   This box is on track to be my most consistent on hand, all being in the 92-95/100 range.  
 

 

A delightful afternoon escape.
