Partagas Aristocrat GOM MAR 19 (PPPRW)

I do like a Partagas Aristocrat, as I've often stated on this forum. The size, flavour and price are all just lovely.

This is the first out of a box that's just on a year old so probably the youngest I've tried one. Construction is spot on with no lumps or bumps and the wrapper had a nice oily sheen to it.

First draw is sweet and woody, very similar to the Party Shorts but with a different sweetness - more molasses than caramel. The draw is perfect BTW. This continues through the first third, very good indeed. Medium in strength.

Slight tingle of black pepper into the second third. Touch of black coffee, addition of something floral and a familiar nice bitterness comes through, undercutting the sweetness on the lips.

Final third sees the strength up a little and the flavours intensify. The burn was perfect throughout and all in all it was exactly as I expected. Uncomplicated but immensely satisfying.

9/10 in my book. Every home should have one.
