Popular Post Maskas Posted March 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 2, 2020 First post here so hey everyone! Decided to finally get in on the weekend reviews. My buddy gifted me this great looking Monte 5 which happens to be from a PSP box from our host. Couldn't resist and decided to enjoy it this weekend. Cigar looks great although I didn't get much in terms of aroma. Pre light draw was just about perfect, a hair on the tight side but no perfec draw necessary. I get a nice buttery caramel flavor coming through on the cold draw. After lighting up this little Monte started very sweet. Rich and buttery just like the cold draw. Flavors in the first 3rd were a light chocolate, little bit of spice and a nice honey like sweetness. Spice started picking up and this nice twang entered in the picture, almost like cider. Ash fell off early and I had to touch up the burn but I was working on some CAD drawings while enjoying this so this was purely my fault for letting it sit too long between puffs. Second 3rd continued with some light spices and an almost apple pie crust flavor which was delicious. Spice grew a bit as I smoked it down but it turned into something along the lines of cinnamon not a pepper spice. The cider twang was still very much present and enjoyable. Final 3rd ended much like the second but a bit more intense and less sweetness. Cinnamon covered apple pie crust and a bit of the filling. Turned into a heavy leather and spicy cedar at the nub. Very much enjoyed this little Monte 5. Took about 45 min or more to smoke, enjoyed it to the nub. First Monte 5 for me and was quite a bit different than what I was expecting but in a good way. I would gladly smoke more of these! 8/10 for me. 5
Deeg Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Is that as tight a box press as it looks or just the camera angle?
