Popular Post Silverstix Posted February 25, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 25, 2020 Bought this partial box from a fellow BOTL a few months ago. These are on my short list of “buy whenever I see them” cigars. This cigar felt a tad light in the hand. Upon clipping the cap, the draw is just a touch too open for my liking - especially on a thin ring gauge like this. I know I will have to sip it even more carefully than usual, but nothing to worry about. Otherwise, construction is good. Wrapper is a nice Colorado color, smooth, seams are tight. Starts with a very mellow tobacco, lovely aroma. I am not going to pretend to have some expansive palate, I am not able to pick up every nuanced flavor. It would do a cigar like this a disservice to attempt it. There is way too much going on with these cigars. What I do know is that I really like what they put out. This one in particular has a bit of an earthy bite up front, followed by a surprisingly long finish that gets sweeter and smoother between draws. The aroma off the foot is such an inviting floral perfume. The retrohale is equally pleasing. Mild, barely touching mild/medium by last 1/2”. I will say it again, for such a notoriously mild bodied cigar, the finish on this was really satisfying. It stayed on my tongue long enough to allow me to let the cigar sit for 1 minute between draws and slowly sip this cigar properly. Not a ton of transitions, it was consistently complex and delicious throughout. Total Smoke Time: 50 Minutes Overall: 92 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6
