Popular Post Reuben Posted January 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2020 Broke open the seal on a Box of Cohiba Siglo II from factory UAO, rolled and boxed in Mar of 2019. Im not the most experienced Cohiba smoker, but Im working my way through the lineup. Foot in nostril- nice barnyard with mild hay and the smell of sweet cuban tobacco! Cold draw is perfect after the cut. I lit the cigar using a cedar spill (my favorite method to begin the process) Took over a minute to toast the foot, blow on the foot, toast, blow, and then inhale. Boom perfectly lit and not rushed or hot! 1/3- smooth is all i can say. I really feel its important to take my time when lighting, so as not to get the stick too hot when beginning these precious moments. So via the slow lighting process or simply the quality of this Siglo II, it was instant smooth honeycake with a light earthyness, touch of almond milk 2/3- the stick began to get stronger into a full medium taste strength. I was enjoying this Cohiba so much that i might have started to smoke it too fast. It definitely heated up, but maintained its honeycake, slight hay/earth, with hints of almond. A sweetness would come and go and alternate with the almond hay moving back to honey cake. last 3rd- I flat out was smoking this elegant touch of class with gusto and like a fein. It was so enjoyable i couldnt help myself. My impatience and rushing led to a bit of heating up and harshness, but then i would slow down and allow the stick to cool slightly, and it would reward me again with that smooth sweet honey/hay/almond milk and a slight nut meg in this last 3rd. I kept this thing in my mouth all the way to the nub! It remained evenly lit, with a perfect draw throughout. One hour of pure smoking enjoyment! 11
NSXCIGAR Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 I was very pleased with the 19 Siglo Is I've had recently. Something about Siglo I always seems to deliver when the other models are not cutting it for me. Same thing I find with the Monte 5. 1
Reuben Posted January 27, 2020 Author Posted January 27, 2020 In my young time exploring the CCs, I have found that i can almost always count on anything in the Cohiba line to deliver a very enjoyable smoke. Great consistency in this brand! 1
