The Squiggler Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I won a 10 pack of these in a raffle a while back. I smoked a couple after letting them rest, and to be honest, was not terribly impressed. At the time they did exceed my somewhat low expectations, given the fact that they are very small RG, machine-made cigars, but they just didn't 'sing' like a good Cohiba has been known to do from time to time. Anyhow, they've been sitting in my coolidor for a year and half or so, and after seeing some of the rave reviews here oh FOH, I decided to pull them out and give them another shot--and I am so glad I did. While it is difficult to pinpoint flavor evolutions and first/second/final third profiles when discussing a cigar that disappears in 20 minutes, I will say this: with just a touch of age, the Cohiba Short becomes a fine cigar, altogether worthy of the Cohiba marque. This little cigar delivered notes of honey, soft leather, dry grass, and smooth tobacco throughout. The burn wasn't razor sharp but it produced plentiful smoke from beginning to finish. My one complaint: the Cohiba Short is too short. I burnt my fingers on the nub. I rate this a solid 92 (missed some points for leaving me wanting ??). Cheers all! 4
