Popular Post BoliDan Posted December 22, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 22, 2019 I'm a weak man. This should have been stored longer. But, I actually knew I wasnt going to be able stay away from a punch lonsdale for long. Went with a pinch cut, of course. Cold draw subtle chocolate and cedar. Construction is near perfect. Nice draw. 1st third: opening a lot like a punch punch but with tad more strength. Leathers, wood, slight coffee but getting a hint of citrus. Medium but near medium full. Burn line is razor sharp. 2nd third. No change in strength but it is becoming more rich for sure. Typical lonsdale capturing long narrowness is building some tar, smoothing out some flavors and becoming thicker in mouthfeel. Wood and leather staying strong. Introduced some chewy and sweet malt flavors. Im still getting a hint of citrus which i find odd but do not hate. Final third: ramping up to medium-full. Still great burn. No touchs ups needed. Smoke sticks to my mouth. Peanuts finally enter the equation. Getting a creamy nutty and beautiful smooth smoke. Citrus and woodines practically gone. But hitting some cocoa towards the end. Nice. long finish Final Thoughts: this would have gone much further if I gave it a year, but this was still a fantastic example of a cigar. If the construction was bad, it would have fell apart, but this was rolled perfectly. At the price point, i find more value in some regular production cigars (like most regionals and ELs). Box worthy? Yes. Go Deep? Not for me. Loved the cigar. Will pick up a box next time i see it and tuck it away. If you're as impatient as me and want to smoke this from the xmas sampler, give it a solid dry box. Rating: 92 Smoke time: 1 hour 49 min 0-50: Couldn't Finish scale of distgutinginess. 51-60: Poor 61-70: Average 71-80: Good 80-90: Great 91-95: Excellent, go deep 96-100: Religious Expierence 8
