Popular Post teamrandr Posted December 15, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 15, 2019 The cigar has a rather ugly wrapper. Water spots and overall a bit toothy so to speak. It does have that classic barnyard aroma at cold. There is some sheen to the wrapper. Not quite Charlie Sheen but maybe one of his family members. The cigar feels under filled. I am quite sick of smoking CC with terrible draws so I am hopeful!! Some.of Jonny O's customs are that way but smoke outstanding. It has been a productive day here on a gloomy Michigan morning. The old 98 had a couple wrench turns and now has a new alternator. With a nice fire going and my golden Rye with me I grabbed this cigar to review for you fine folks. 1/3 This thing is wide open. Just as suspected. It lit easily after toasting it slowly cherried and lit up. I am carefully taking small drags. The flavors are nice. Wood notes right up front. Cinnamon is happening now. I am reminded of burned cinnamon swirl bagel. I keep puffing it to taste the subtleties. The cigar is underfilled. It is also underwhelming so far. 2/3 It is underwhelming but not displeasing. The tobacco is mild. Which after the last 2 weeks of craziness is welcome. Some depth showing up finally as we approach midway. It has been wood notes with slight cinnamon. We have entered a bit of the dark roast realm. This is gaining ground thankfully ! We are halfway. The body was quite mild in the beginning. We have a bit of body coming in now. The draw has tightened up considerably. There is a slight tar drip coming on. Now I have seen this when they get too hot. I have also seen this on super aged smokes. I am getting a bit of throw back flavor so to speak. Rich tobacco is emerging. Gone is cinnamon. Dark roasted coffee bean with tobacco. Tar build up is unpleasant. The underfilled nature has been apparent from the get go. All things considered I am enjoying fully. The fire is roasting. My Grandma has been passed for 2 weeks now. It has been a challenging couple of weeks. This cigar has been remarkable. In that is has just thrown one dimensional flavors in your face. It went from straight wood to into burned cinnamon. Onto a deeper roasted flavor. The flavor is reminiscent of 1970s Havana tobacco. Final 3rd Zero transition in flavor. The depth of the rich tobacco with coffee has increased. There is a bit of the woody notes coming back. It started off disappointing but made a nice recovery. Down near nub status its is still full blown rich earthy tobacco. Not complaining. There are times when you want complex flavors. There are also times when cigar is just a cigar! 88 6
