Hi all,

Headed to Melbourne next week for 3 days of meetings and a couple days of wandering. Staying in the CBD, any cigar lounges to visit and must see highlights? Thanks!

Great city....just wander around.

I head here from 5pm. Take your own cigar or pick up a hideously expensive one there.  great deck overlooking parliament house and cigar friendly.

If the weather is not too cold then Siglo is a great place to enjoy a cigar. Even if it's cold they have heaters. Collins Quarter has an area for cigar smoking too. As far as things to do. Melbourne is known for it's bars, cafes and restaurants, of which there are many. Some hard to find. I could create a list but my advice would be to have a look at https://www.broadsheet.com.au/melbourne Search around and find lists of Melbourne's best. We also have a casino. I never go there to gamble but there are a number of nice restaurants along the river, as does South Bank and South Wharf. If you have any specific questions I will do my best to point you in the right direction. Cheers. PS. Bring sunglasses and an umbrella. This time of year the weather is all over the shop. We had 37 degrees celcius one day then in the same day dropped dramatically to 20.

Not any more, unfortunately. The indoor area they used to have is now functions only, and the courtyard is non-smoking. New laws came in last year that meant no smoking at any place that serves food. Most places chose food. Siglo basically the only one that chose smoking.

TBH it's not much of a town for cigars - Siglo is the only real cigar bar, and the LCDH in the Hyatt and Alexanders in Toorak the only serious stores. There is a private club called Candela Nuevo as well, but you need to be a guest of a member - not sure if there are any on here. There are a lot of great cocktail bars if you're into that, a few world class whisky places, and the coffee is the best in the world.
