Silverstix Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 This single has been sitting in my humidor for just over a year. Bought here from FOH. It’s a cigar I always passed over, so this is a great motivator to burn it! A dark/mottled wrapper that appears to be on the thicker side. I’d read reviews talking about burn issues, this wrapper concerns me. Cigar feels light in hand. Good earthy aroma at cold. Toasts up easily. Right off the bat it’s a dark earthy profile, almost like a Nicaraguan cigar. Flavor profile starts to bounce around all over the place - not really complex - the cigar just doesn’t know what it wants to do. Medium bodied, thick oily smoke with a little pepper on the retro. As it heats up it starts to show some signs of dark cherry sweetness but still very earthy. Sort of a cross between an RyJ and Ramon Allones. Burn line is funky, require a touch up. Wrapper is just burning with a mind of it’s own. Progressing through the second half and it starts to settle down with a more balanced profile now. Still the same flavors just a little more put together. Burn problems continue, multiple touch ups. Overall - 83/100. Not a bad cigar but not great either. I wouldn’t turn it down but I wouldn’t buy it myself. Maybe another couple years would help it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
