lovethehaze Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 I got this box sometime early spring and have had about 4 of them. Each one as bad as the next. Flavor profile has been straight cardboard. So this weekends review is perfect to see how these babies are coming along. 1st third wood and cardboard as expected. Hints of twang so I am curious to see how it will develop. 2nd third starts twang city... things r looking up but it’s short lived maybe for about 5 minutes I enjoy it. Then all mineral, graphite and wood not my sweet spot at all. Randomly I get sweet and salty wood which is better than the rest it still not hitting home. Final third more mineral and cardboard. I would say better than my first few but i struggle with this marca. Just format do anything for me. burn really good, draw really good overall was built well, flavors just not in my wheelhouse. I have more so these will easily be held for some time .. maybe as they age my tastes and they will change. Maybe not. I would rate it about 65-70 2 1
NSXCIGAR Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 I was never big on La Fuerza until this year. 19s have been outstanding. Before that, even 18s I generally avoided. If you want to taste what a La Fuerza should truly be grab a 6er next time they come up. You won't regret it. They're near the top for my cigar of the year. 2

I would be curious to see how you feel about them in a couple years. I find that these do not age well. To my tastes they seem to be great fresh, but age like crap. 1

They always seemed muddled and I wished they were just a scaled-up El Principe. Well, 19s seem to be just that. And a bit more rounded obviously due to the 50 RG. Good construction as well. Personally I can't recall La Fuerza ever smoking this well. 1

Would love an update down the line to see what you think. Now you have me intrigued. 1

Would love an update down the line to see what you think. Now you have me intrigued. I don't recommend many cigars but a 6er is worth picking up next time Rob has them. I've smoked about a box and a half of 19s and they ranged from about 92-95, mostly 93-95. When a cigar is coming in around the mid-90s I'm not thinking at all about aging them. Not that I could keep away from them that long anyway. But if I had unlimited resources I'd go deep on the 19s. I'm also becoming a fan of the Gorditos vitola. I've never been a Robustos lover. Much prefer the Hermosos No. 4. It's nice to have that extra 3/4" with that 50 RG. Perfect length for that ring, especially when construction is good. A severely underutilized vitola IMO. 1 1
