Popular Post Bucky McSwensen Posted November 5, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 5, 2019 This is from one of those aged 5 robusto packs that I got off a grey market site where everything has been cedar cedar cedar. I wrote these off as lesson learned after the other brands I have had but figured I'd try out the Cohiba to see if they fancy one has any upside. It does! Starts off with smooth grassy honey flavors. Very mild but delicious. Gets a bit creamy. I get some bready notes. Kind of a sweet breakfast toast. Coffee and cinnamon kick it at the second third. Then I get some light hints of cedar. Nothing too bold. Very mellow smoke . Final third is enjoyable but no spectacular finish. Just more cedar with some light hints at the earlier profile. I'd call this one good but past its prime. I value this stick at $20 Cost Ratio - 0.91 Cuba Ratio - 1.47 Comparison: This is clearly past its prime and was impacted by the cedar storage. Still a divine aged cigar but has gotten a bit bland with the age. The honey, citrus and grassy flavors I was expecting from the young stick still shined through but may have dulled over time. Gives me a slight insight to what a lower end aged one will be and I gotta say I'm excited. 4 2
