Partagas Maduro No.1 RUM-JUN-19

i bought a psp box of these a couple weeks ago and was happy to use this competition as an excuse to try one. from the review video that pres and ken did, it sounded like these are smoke now cigars and only really need 6-12 months down. after smoking this one i would say i have to agree with them. while i really enjoyed the cigar there wasn't a ton of complexity or transitions to it and it was already relatively smooth and creamy to me. love the look of the box, might be my new favorite cuban cigar box. sorry pictures kinda suck, not sure whats up with my phone rn.

the first third started out with a slightly sweet creamy cedar with hints of leather and chocolate. as i smoked the the sweetness and chocolate flavors continued to ramp up until the last third where it just tasted of milk chocolate with random bursts of coffee and caramel that i really enjoyed. i had no issues with the burn and the draw/ smoke output was where i like it to be. the lack of transition and complexity loses some points but i think its a really enjoyable cigar and would recommend it if you're just looking for that chocolate fix. i would rate it a 90/100, that last third when i got milk chocolate with a burst of caramel was really enjoyable to me and gained it a couple extra points, if the whole cigar tasted like that it would be 100/100 for me?
