Popular Post Dynamo320 Posted October 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 26, 2019 I realized that there’s not many cigars from my collection that I have never tried before. I do have this box of Reyes that I recently received and in fact, I’ve never had one before. Couple things going in that were against me. This is a very fresh box, not even six months old and they’ve only been resting from their voyage for only 2 weeks. Not usually diving in quite yet, but with rain all weekend forecasted, wth, I’ve got 23 more anyway so let’s give it a go. I love the smaller cigars and usually have great experiences with the likes of RASCC, Monte 5, El Principe, and HUHC. Lately I’ve been just crushing through the RASCC. After a few boxes I’ve yet to be disappointed. Wanted to branch out with something different so here we are with the Reyes. Cut leads to the perfect draw for me. Preflight draw is just right, slightly open but not too much, just what I like. The Reyes lights easily and the torch is never to be needed again. First draws are straight up from the Trinidad dna that I enjoy so much from the Fundi and Vigia. Opens with strong sweet doughnut/biscuit flavor. So far I’m way more into this than I was the HDM EE that I had earlier. Half inch in, the strong black bold coffee came into play. This is how I enjoy my coffee it is really working for me. All the while, the slightly sweet doughnut was always on the fringe. It settled into this profile the rest of the way down and kept me interested all the way. Burn was a good as I’ve ever seen, absolutely razor sharp. Smoke output with each draw was immense. Young and barely rested, I’d be happy to keep burning through these, knowing they will only get better with time. Burn time was quite impressive for such a small cigar at 1 hour. No relights and a nice salt/pepper stack of dimes ash. Very nice. 10
