Popular Post Wailbait Posted September 1, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 1, 2019 A lovely day. Prepping lamb tongues and a salsa verde for tomorrow so decided to take a small break. I bought 8 of these from a guy who was getting out of cigars. It was a mixed box of Principes, RGPC, Parti Shorts and these. All were from 13-14 and all have been superb. Wrapper is silky, prelight draw just enough tension. I’m excited. First third. I love this cigar. It’s powerful and restrained. I have never gotten the stewed fruit Allones profile in spades from this cigar but I get a fabulous leather and wood quality. Second Third Had a slight downward turn as it moved from flavorful to just “smoke.” I put it down for about 3 minutes to give it a rest. Final Third The cigar roared back to life and was quite enjoyable to the end. My friend was smoking an 06 Bolivar PC and it was neat to see the differences. The extra 7 years gave his Bolivar an elegance and cedar refinement. This cigar wasn’t the epitome of refinement but it was a great flavor experience. A perfect 40 minutes. 5
