Popular Post DaveyStacks Posted August 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 27, 2019 (edited) A wonderful smoke on a finally cool night in RDU North Carolina. Punch Punch from Jan of this year. Definitely young but still a great smoke! 1/3 -- Very mild mannered and a slightly sweet start switching to a bit strong and woody at times (I think due to the age). Tastes of salt are left on my lips. Not overly strong or displeasing but the youth is there! 2/3 -- Cedar smoke and boasts of strength in the 2nd/3rd. Still some way off hint of sweet and all throughout still smooth even with the woodiness and moments of strength. Still hints at saltiness at times and maybe a bit of nuts...? 3/3 -- The woodiness is still here but now the finish is surprisingly smoother. Strangely enough, still getting an ocean saltiness and nuttiness/cedar. I refuse to say salted nuts because it was not quite that. Toward the very end it got a little bit hot but in its defense, it was short. A very enjoyable smoke now... probably really great in about a year! Phone died while I was smoking but I will smoke another and throw some pics up tomorrow! Peace, Love, and Great Smoke, DaveyStacks Edited August 30, 2019 by DaveyStacks As promised... 6
RubenF Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Great review. I'm working through a box from early 16. Just incredible, all caramel, citrus peel and sweet cedar with one of the best finishes of any cigar I've had. Kudos! 1
