Traveling to Sardinia

Hello my fellow FOHers.

I will be traveling to Sardinia the second week of September for my first time.

I will be based on the coast near Arbatax (in the middle of the east coast).

I will have a car.

I am looking for any recommendations on local cigar culture and brick and mortars worth visiting

I am also interested in any can't miss food option or sites that I need to experience.

I had a friend scour the island in July. Came home empty handed. Didn’t even bring me a Casu Marzu cheese - it was 3 kg and 100 euros ?

Not 100% true. Coastal maybe. Milan, well, their LCDH near Linate is awesome. The whole country can’t ship tobacco out of country or market online which seemed to help their stock. 

The rule really should be bring your own no matter where you travel, and buy good boxes at good prices if available.
