Montecristo Number 5 BOE DIC 17 (MCRW)

I have been battling sinus problems all summer since my boys (who joined me on the deck this evening) started day care, so my taste buds are not what they should be. Nevertheless, let’s press on with a review. 

This hand picked Monte No. 5 is the first I’ve ever smoked.  The first third was actually kind of off-putting, with a lot of the “dirty ashtray” flavor mentioned by others in the “what marca do you dislike” thread. However, as the cigar continued, especially at the halfway mark, I tasted some pleasant chocolate and coffee notes that I enjoyed immensely.  For a short smoke, it was decent but nothing I’m in a hurry to smoke again. I give it an 86.
