This was a kind gift from Rob and crew from one of the pictures of the week contests.

Light Colorado wrapper with a very dense pack. I decided to V cut as I felt there was a knot at the band and may cause a tight draw or plug. It was slow to start off but the draw did finally open up.

Paired with a Toronto milkshake IPA.

1st: bit of a bitter start, might have been due to me puffing harder and more often due to the draw. Gave it a little bit of a wonky burn.

Some baker spice, cocoa but also an interesting earthy note, somewhat mineral like.

2nd: this was the best of the thirds. I rested it a little to cool down and picked up some classic monte milk chocolate flavours but still had a slight bitterness. The mineral like note faded but still present.

3rd: the cigar was at medium in strength and body but the bitterness came back.

Rated 87.

The leyenda imo it is the best of the line by a long shot. The one I had was an easy 94-95 pointer. I have a box from Cuba that I am resting for now, but will be sampling very soon.

If interested in these I would pick up a sampler to see which one you prefer. Seems like the leyenda is the most preferred.
