Popular Post Cayman17 Posted May 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 6, 2019 This box had light surface mold when one of our FOH brethren sent it to me after graciously acquiring it for me on a business trip in the Caribbean. After wiping the mold off, the box sat for exactly 90 days in a cooler. Time for a brief review. Aroma at cold was light milk chocolate. Cold draw tasted of hay and sweet tobacco. I removed little more than the pigtail with my cutter, and the draw was perfect. The first half inch was all cedar and light baking spice, after which the cigar took on a creamy/toasty/cake flavor reminiscent of a young Magnum 50. Around the halfway point, the flavors turned to nuts (almond) and coffee and continued that way till I neared the band and a bitter chocolate flavor emerged. Medium bodied the whole way, this is a very smooth cigar and I think it’s a winner; however, I like robustos and petite robustos. For such a small cigar, it packed a lot of flavor and I look forward to seeing how the flavors meld and transform over the next few years. I give it a solid 89 right now. 5
