Popular Post Bucky McSwensen
I picked these up at an lcdh in puerto vallarta. Had a glorious punch punch there and wanted to try out something "fancy and exclusive". Little did I know they would be cheaper and more readily available elsewhere but this is how I learn my lessons on value and opportunity. Still very much enjoying the box. Starts out with very light peanut qnd cedar flavors. 1st third continues with light body but very pleasant mild dry roast peanuts. Middle takes on toasty tobacco and loses the peanuts. It gets a little bland but very enjoyable. Just not an exquisite flavor bomb I wanted. Final third gets subtle flavors to develop. Starts to get a little sweetness and fruitiness like fruit snacks or chewing gum. Not quite the juicy fruit gum flavor ive read about but definitely inching towards that. Retro gets some mild peppery nuttiness and the aftertaste is a pleasant saltiness. I wish the middle third took on more of the first or last. The finish was incredible and helped end on a good note. This was my first lcdh box so I overromanticized it but it's still decent as a stick. I just hide how much it cost me in mexico from my peers. Not sure if they will get better with age or already peaked. Definitely a lighter shade wrapper so I'm intrigued on what the darker boxes are like and how this will develop. I think I'll keep these for friends that enjoy a lighter smoke and find montecristo "too spicy" I'd value this at $11.50 Cuba rating - 1.39 Cost rating - 0.50 Ratings are based on a ratio of value/cost. 1.00 means I value it the same as it cost. Less means it wasn't worth the purchase. More means it was a deal )
