Punch Punch 2018 (PQDRW)

Meant to post this review yesterday, but I got distracted...

For this review I went with a 2018 Punch Punch. I received this cigar in the FOH 12 Days of Christmas Sampler. 

This review will be short and sweet, as I smoked it while trying to do some work so I wasn’t as focused on the cigar as I had set out to be. 

During the first third, I was able to pick up some nice leather notes. The leather wasn’t overwhelming, but very smooth. It also had a bit of sweet cream.

During the second third the sweet cream came on! The leather was there, but it had loads of cream. Absolutely wonderful!

The final third saw the cream subside a bit. The leather made somewhat of a comeback and I got some toasted almonds at the very end.

Some notes: only two photos for this one. I got aught up on a work call so I missed my chance for the final photo. I don’t have much experience with this marca. I don’t know why, but my cooler is very limited in the Punch category. One of the reasons I love this weekend review contest is that it gives you an excuse to reach for something that you don’t always think about- and man, am I glad I did! I can see why Rob was included this in the sampler. So far, it’s the best cigar of 2019 for me! 5/5!

Great to hear they’re smoking so well young! I’ll have to pick up a box, I’ve been eying these after I had a few aged examples that were dynamite
