Anyone here been to the Habanos Festival?

It would be awesome to go to this but admittedly, I am not enough of a cigar guy to want to spend that many days straight in seminars and whatnot. It is probably more geared toward global retailers and distributors than the general public, but it would be awesome to go to the gala and other dinners and meet people. 

Anyone ever been? I’m sure everyone gets to have/try all the new releases during the sessions, but I was always curious if attendees get to actually come home with a decent haul.

Yes, been to enough Festivals to last me for a lifetime.

Which is why I have not attended any Festivals last few years and did not fly this year to HAV - had enough.

Interesting for sure for a newbie if you can afford the ticket prices.

But the only thing I miss about NOT being at the Festival are the private parties, gatherings and encounters with good friends.
That is where you get the best & most accurate information on what's going on - not from the Festival and the official meetings/seminars.

Looking forward to be in HAV next month for some quiet time away from the Festival circus, and I am quite sure I will have a try at all the new releases, new cigars and all the gossip - just in a more relaxed and private atmosphere.

But, again, if you are into this, go and attend, by all means.
