You need to track number of sticks and location of them in humidor. . Oh, and add picture of current stock and price if you want valuation.

Yeah, i am a little OCD . I have mine in Google sheets.

I attempted to do this years ago but gave up quickly.  I smoke too often, have tons of cigars and don't have the discipline to update a spreadsheet every time I smoke

Why ruin the cigar smoking experience with accounting and inventory management?

I think "antal" on the far right is quantity.  Location in the humidor is a very rich problem to have!!  I don't have a big enough humidor or enough boxes to need that category yet.  You are well ahead of me.  I do like having a spreadsheet that has production date and quantity.  To 5thStar's point, I don't have the discipline to track loose sticks or open boxes, but when I'm throwing in full boxes I think I'm going to store for a while, it's a nice way to keep track.

Yes, antal is swedish for quantity, I only have one cabinet with boxes, the other one is empty so I don’t keep track on location. Been thinking of calculating value, its a bit tricky. Some of the boxes are bought by Botls for a lump sum and are aged. How do I value those?

I dont’t update everytime I smoke, but from time to time I’ll update.

The reason I have this is that I forget what I have. With this I can get a bird’s-eye view on my collection. It’s also a bit of the fun, collecting, cataloging and of course smoking.

I'm sure someone smarter than me can give you a better answer on the value part.  Plenty of LCDH stores sell vintage stock and show their prices online, but finding the exact vitola and year you have in your collection is unlikely.  Unless you are talking about significant age, there is probably not a significant value inflation beyond retail.  Curious if someone else has better resource ideas on valuation than me.

And I totally appreciate the cataloguing.  It's fun to see what's on hand and remember exactly what you have without digging through the humidor.

Agree, I just get avg stick price of current run. I have boxes in separate tupperdors, so I lable which one they are in with numbers. I also like to take inventory on a quarterly basis. Not for everyone, but to each their own!
