Hoyo de Monterey DC unknown code: cigar and drink pairing review

This HdM DC is from the DC sampler offered on 2424 a few months back. Decided this guy is ready for the flame.

 

My drink pairing is Joseph Magnus cigar blend batch #9. This is a very limited release bottle, I was able to preorder direct from the distillery and pick it up direct.

 

This hoyo DC was off the charts. Straight bliss for 2+ hours. The balance is amazing, the flavors amazing, the construction is perfect. I dont know how to go into the flavors, but this cigar has never let me down. Fresh, aged, rott, these are always a cigar that relaxes me into a near meditative state.

 

The bourbon is a great combo. They really have similar flavor profiles that build on each other quite well. I wish I had more to give, but I've been sitting here in a relaxed state for so long I cant quite put into words what i just experienced. These are that good!

Great review thanks! Love the picture with the cigar casually leaning against the bottle. The cigar looks like it's hit that meditative state already on that lean.
