MoeFOH Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Another stellar article from Ken. Particularly intriguing from the La Trova availability mystery (keen to see what others may know about this), and for the Yamazaki--something I have yet to dip my beak in. Profile sounds wonderful... Anyhow, another great pairing to ponder... Enjoy the full article here. 1
PapaDisco Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Another absolutely great read from Ken, but I'm gonna take issue with the creation of the term "regprod." Way too easy to misread in a proctological way . . .
cookj1 Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 I’m on holiday in Aruba so I have lots of time to smoke these big format cigars. They are widely available here and I haven’t stopped into a cigar shop that doesn’t have them. I smoked a Trinidad La Trova 2 days ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. The problem is, and it’s not to say that it wasn’t good, but for me, in an oxymoronic way, it wasn’t memorable like so many Trinidad cigars are. LCDH have another great band in the clubhouse, but perhaps my expectations for a band with Trinidad on it are too high. Trini Robusto T, Robusto Extra, and Vigia come to mind as excellent releases. I had to take a break from smoking this cigar. These big cigars are a commitment after all. There’s no doubt that there’s a harmonious balance to this cigar but I’ll end this post with this thought: the Montecristo Dantés I smoked the other day immediately stuck out in my mind. Why? It was so much more memorable in a positive way than the Trinidad La Trova.
