I dont want to get in the middle of yet another Johnny O debacle, but he was called out as being a thief or a fraud. I dont think he crossed any lines with his comment, unless there is more to see than that one post.

He is definitely providing decent cigars with little to no information on how he gets them. So I agree with what has been said about him. They sell themselves, no need to call them something they aren't. Unless they actually are what he says.

He sure knows how to stir up the community. I wish he would have brought his issues here instead of to olh.

For the record, I didn't actually call out anyone specifically.

This is not about one person or one cigar. As I said below, it is a host of operators who are happy to use porkies. 

The cigars may be fantastic and all power to them, I just don't understand the need

What kicked it off. 

Billy Blogs or Larry Loco custom cuban robusto/El Diablo, El mango.....I couldn't care less. Good luck to them. 

However it is a very big step to saying something is an El Laguito product, seconds or otherwise. 

 There are a host of operators who have done it over the years (from the US/Canada/Cuba/EU).   "Behike seconds" and the like is straight up misleading if not fraud. 

Good cigars? sure. Behike? no. 

 

I wouldn't expect anyone to stop buying cigars from JO or anyone else. That wasn't the intent. In fact I have always been a supporter of JO when people have contacted me directly as many of you can attest. He has always had free reign here. 

The post that began the discussion in this direction was "as it’s a good smoke call it whatever you want ! 

I don't agree with that by a long way and put forward the reasons why. 

We have no history on FOH of badmouthing or getting into barnies with other medium . There is no need and it won't start here.  Don't get sucked into behaviour that is beneath you.
