Trinidad Reyes SLE OCT 16. Consistency Review Weekend

I got this box of 12 from the infamous 24:24 Shopping Cart Breakdown a few months ago - this one is no.4 from the box (no, I don't number them, it's the fourth one I've smoked. I know we've got some OCD members who might consider it appropriate to do so, but I'm not in that contingent).

These are the first Trinidad I've had and they're excellent. Perfect construction, perfect draw and I now know exactly what to expect thus taking some of the umming and ahhing out of the selection process.

Today I've managed to finish work early and I've got the latter part of the afternoon to myself. A short smoke now and something longer later this evening is the plan so a Reyes fits the bill nicely. 30°c in the shady part of the garden and the coffee is hot.

Mild cocoa to start, biscuity, slightly sweet. Rich smooth smoke. A little spiciness developed into the second half but nothing heavy, just right. Solid ash and a clean burn throughout.

And that's it - nothing complicated, exactly as expected and very, very good. With regard to a rating on my own system as per instructions - of the 22 studio albums released by Motörhead (on a scale from Overnight Sensation up to Bad Magic), it's Bomber, making it a very high scoring cigar.

Time for a little snooze methinks...
