He's the salt of the earth, and I'm glad you could regain contact with him. If you aren't busy, you should try to make it up our way this fall (September) for a cigar. Small commitment for you, right? ;-)

i'd there like a shot if it was anything but marco polo like trip (and your customs chappies have not always proved chummy and one on the last trip when all i was doing was transiting, seemed to think that cigars were akin to nuclear weapons) but who knows. the year in dc was one of the most fun times i ever had. loved the place.
