jmg Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 This was from one of Rob's clearance. I was torn between this a #2, a #2 custom w/ extra ligero, a fuerza, an RGPE or one of the bolis. I stuck with this due to the time factor. Got a few fingers of Old Overholts Straight Rye, which I think is the BEST valued rye out there and great for everyday consumption. Vcut in and the cold draw brings a sweet musty barn smell mixed with tinge of citrus. 1st light and draw brings on unrefined chocolate. Reminds me of the chocolate bits that are a popular diet snack in Korea right now. The smoke leaves a dry after taste but that could also be because im on weight loss pills. The 1st third continues to bring that unrefined chocolate forward while a slight "twang" starts to build. Moving into the 2nd third, the dry after taste has made the chocolate into a cocoa powder. I can literally feel the powder stuck on the roof of my mouth. The twang becomes more prominent and becomes something in between an orange and a lemon. The rye is going nicely with the cigar as the spice is playing off the cocoa. Red chili flaked chocolate. This diet is killing me. The retro is awesome and gives me blasts of sweet cocoa. Going into the final third the i start getting some cream and the cocoa note turns dark. The citrus is all but gone. I slow down my puff rate to ease the heat and the damn thing went out! No worries. A relight later and we're still good to go. Or so I thought. About 3 puffs in and the cigar turns bitter on me. So I pull the curtain on this one. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. I should have enough time for that RGPE. Happy Easter Weekend everyone! Sent from my SM-G955N using Tapatalk 3
