I just booked a short trip to Toronto for next month and was looking for any advice that may be on offer about the LCDH there. Should I expect crazy Canadian prices? Anything that’s must buy and exclusive to Canada right now?

Thanks in advance!

VERY expensive. LCDH Montreal has a bunch of REs from many places such as A.P. and Lebanon so you might find some REs in Toronto as well, but be prepared to shell out big time...

Our taxes are a buzzkill. If you're converting USD to CAD for your trip, it will technically hurt less, but expect higher than Cuba prices for sure. With that said. There are some "gems". The new QdO No 50 can be had for a little over $20CAD per stick. The PL Picadores for ~ $23CAD/stick.  There is a vintage section with interesting selections, such as Trinidad Robusto Extra's whose price point compared with rarity and vintage, might be a justified purchase.  If you're here in April, the temps might be good enough to enjoy a stick in relative comfort outside.  Along with our tobacco taxes, you will find our insane smoking by-law's.  There are NO indoor lounges to enjoy.  We used to be able to smoke on patios, but that is gone now too.  You can technically smoke on the sidewalk in front of the LCDH.  As that is public property. But you cannot enjoy a beverage with your cigar.....unless.. You poised it on a table on the LCDH's front patio. Stick to non-alcoholic to avoid any issues.  With that said, it is a nice shop. There are some great cigars and humidor releases in there to drool over.  The weather should be Spring-like if all goes well. So, you'll be able to enjoy a cigar or two.
