Guest Nekhyludov Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Hey all, I'll be in Taiwan on business for a week at the end of May. 4 days in Taipei, 3 days in Taichung. Based on what I've seen posted here by folks who've been there recently, I'm planning on bringing my own cigars and getting well acquainted with the P&L Club. Any must-do/must-see experiences for downtime in the evenings? I'm also planning to take advantage of the opportunity to tack a few days on to the end of the trip before I head home. Any suggestions for a three-day side trip in that region for a cigar degenerate such as myself? I'm thinking Michelin restaurants, good museums or other cultural attractions, and maybe some HTF cigars if the prices aren't TOO horrifying. Maybe Tokyo? I dunno. Open to suggestions here.
Diabolicalpherpher Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 For Taipei, definitely go to the night markets, Shilin or Raohe. The original Ding Tai Fung on Xinyi Road which is close to the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial. National Palace museum. A side trip to Hong kong, Tokyo, Osaka, or Kyoto michelin restaurant tour would be really fun.
