dicko Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Nice looking but too thin a wrapper on this. Also was too rightly rolled. Admittedly i prefer an easier draw but i struggled a bit with this and it did affect the flavour. That said the smoke production and burn was good. I had to lop off a cm at the band to help me out after the first third. 1st - some coffee, cereal and nice cedar. Salty on the lips. Nothing interesting through the nose. 2nd - same again more cereal and tiny bits of sweetness. 3rd - the youth coming through now a bit tannic and i need to put this down with an inch and a half to go. Hour long smoke. Overall - construction issues and youth meant this struggled. Still enjoyable flavours. I have had 2 from this cab already that displayed that cohiba vanilla/honey so fingers crossed for the rest. Might leave these for a year now. Score - 85/86 Paired with a macciato (sp?) and a pepperjack barossa valley sparkling shiraz which is very jammy. Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk 1
dicko Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Its possible to have too thin a wrapper?Yes i believe so if it rips easily for exampleSent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk
ajgagnon Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I’m partial to wines like that but I have to say it’s got to be a bit of a tough pairing. Lots of jam and tannin could be part of the youth you were experiencing. Just a thought. In the end, I’m a firm believer that you smoke and drink what you want!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
