Hey there everyone, I just found out early last week that one of my good work buddies is moving to Vietnam, Hanoi to be exact. I spoke with him on the possibility of him sending me some cigars every once in a while. I was curious as to what would be good gets? Mind you I'm generally speaking of specialty sticks that one might only find as regional releases. I will always go through our wonderful host for any of my other needs. Thanks everyone!

I don't know anything about the cigar scene in Vietnam, but hey, at the very least you have a host if you ever decide to visit. Sure seems like it would be hard to beat sitting on a patio with a Vietnamese iced coffee and a good, strong cigar.

I've never been to Vietnam, or any place in Asia, but it's very high on my list of places I want to visit.

@Danimalia I'd love to go over there and visit him. Would be a great opportunity to save all my money for food and cigars haha. I'm definitely excited for him to be able to go live there for a few years.

Quite a few Vietnam stores purchase their cigars through ourselves.

I was in hanoi for 2 yrs recently. Unfortunately, the local cigar shops are expensive and you're going to be looking at paying at least double what you can find online. And not really anything special that he'll be able to find for you.

Good for your friend tho. Hanoi, and Vietnam in general, is a boooming place. Amazing food and you can pretty much smoke anywhere. Ill probably go back to visit sometime next year.

@jmg it's pretty funny because him and I always went and grabbed food at my nearest Asian market. Vietnamese food is ridiculously good. He had mentioned that he needed to leave the country every 90 days to keep his visa, so he planned on going to Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand as well.
