dangolf18 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Anybody going to be in Madrid this week? Would love to meet up for a smoke. Anyhow, I've checked out some of the better known shops and it appears stock is pretty thin. A lot of the shop owners have said the Chinese are buying up everything. No regionals or edicion limitadas in stock. Found some aged stuff, but Spain's prices are honestly not that good with the IVA of 20%. Spotted some 2009 Lusis and 898 for around 400 euros a box (~$500)...that's the same price for current production as well. Quite disappointed as I thought Spain was THE place to go for cigars in Europe. Oh well...enjoying the great tapas and vino. Food culture here is extraordinary!
