JohnCarcinogen Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 DISCLAIMER: I'm a bit of a cigar noob, and my palate is not trained enough to give you tasting notes like "hints of Norwegian Sandalwood resting ever so gently on freshly fallen snow". I also don't know the box code since it came in the Robusto sampler from our friends here. And lastly, it's probably too late to submit this, but, what the hell, eh? Pairing the cigar with a Stone Vengeful Spirit IPA on a crisp Tennessee night. On the first 1/3 I get some cocoa and earth. It's a nice creamy cigar with a great full draw of smoke. Burned a bit uneven starting out, but as soon as I flipped it, she evened out perfectly. the 2/3 packed a bit more of a punch, but still had a lot of the cocoa/chocolate flavor, and a bit of leather. Sorry the band is gone. There's some quote from an old movie about not trusting people that keep the bands on their cigars, so I've always removed prior to lighting. All in all a beautiful cigar, and I think is a good middle ground for people that like a medium cigar that burns really well. Cheers 2
Islandboy Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Good review. Interesting beer. Strange cigar band ritual. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
