Vortigan Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Smoked a sample from my March '14's tonight, just over a year on from the last. I don't really know what to make of this cigar, I mean I enjoyed it and it's clearly an interesting and dynamic blend that held my interest for the duration and kept me guessing so I suppose that says something. But from the first light the flavour was salty caramel, very salty, too salty!! Finally gave up some ground to a creamy peanut as the stick warmed but it never lost its salty background all the way through. Anyone else ever recall salt in a LF? I'll be interested to see where they go next.
PatrickEwing Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Interesting. Never have. I get much more of the dessert qualities often ascribed to it. Very pleasant cigar. Mine are EML 14 and possibly from March also.
BuzzArd Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Yep. Salty quality in several SCDLH I've had. I associate it with the "driftwood" description. Reminds me of home....
